Quick question:

Any of you read "Dispatches From a Not-So-Perfect Life"?

It rings a bell. Who writes it, or where is it found?

Faulkner Fox wrote it. It's a trade-size paperback. I had to read it for class.

I did! What'd you think, Liz? I loved it, but friends who aren't writers/academics didn't find it so thrilling. And my husband liked it, but he was really horrified by how honestly she wrote about her marriage (mostly just what happened at the retreat, you know).

I liked it, but was disappointed it wasn't more scholarly.

Yeah, it's definitely in the memoir category. What kind of class did you read it for?

Women and Work. It's a history/women's studies/sociology class.
