That's odd

I just got a thank you note from the blood donation center I gave blood to back in March. Seems they used my blood last week.

Anyone else ever get a thank you note for this?

No....

But then I'm not a good blood donor either.

Have had phlebotomists tell me specifically to NOT give blood b/c my veins are awful.

That's kinda cool, though, the follow-up.

That is odd. NSAH gives blood as often as they allow it. He's never gotten a thank you. All he gets is the reminder postcard that he has another appointment for a donation!

Nope, never. But this reminds me that I need to start giving blood again. I couldn't for a year because I got my tattoo, so I got out of the habit.

But mostly I came by to say Happy Mother's Day!

I got a letter back from the blood bank once but it was to tell me in no uncertain terms NEVER TO DONATE MY TAINTED BLOOD AGAIN. That's how I found out about my liver problem.

Wow . . . I guess it's nice to know they actually used your blood, and it didn't get screened out or get freezerburned or sit in a vault forever. :)

That's pretty cool, though I do think it's unusual.
(But I have no recent experience, since they banned people who were in England during Mad Cow era)

Your last final is over, right? WOO HOO!!!!! (and if I've got the date wrong, consider it an anticipatory WOO HOO)

I used to give blood on a regular basis and like APL said the only thing I ever received was a notice to give again.

I think a thank you is really nice. Receiving a thank you would probably make more people give again.
